Jo Malone stole my heart in 2020. When the world was shut down, I found joy in the little things. I wanted to splurge on myself and when the mall next door re-opened, I went to Bloomingdale’s and slowly enjoyed perusing each section of candles, perfumes, and beauty products. Funny enough, the first candle I picked up from Jo Malone was the Peony & Blush Suede. I was absolutely taken by its fragrance. Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation and Dior Forever Skin Correct concealer are two must-have products for achieving a flawless and radiant complexion. As a former pageant girl and lifetime model, it embarrasses me to say that it has taken me over a decade to find the correct shade for my winter skin. I am a sucker for mixing the wrong shades so I was happy to finally find my shade. I purchased Pacha soap from Whole Foods by chance and fell in love with the Dirty Hippie scent. I am obsessed with this bar soap and go through ropes to find it when it is out of stock at my local Whole Foods. The scent is earthy, clean, and makes my skin feel so clean. It is the original bar of Pacha and is the best selling blend from their company.
I have gone through many natural soaps both liquid and bar but Pacha Dirty Hippie has stolen my heart and I refuse to use anything else but this. It is pricey. Online, you can purchase from their website and 5 bars are around $35. However, this soap is organic, sustainably sourced, non-GMO, and Wild Harvested from Ghana. With Ghana in my DNA, it feels like home. It’s not tested on animals and vitamin rich. Honestly, it doesn’t get in better than that.

I waited half a year before I treated myself to AERIN Cedar Violet. I went to my local Bloomingdale’s and was handed two samples of AERIN Amber Musk and AERIN Cedar Violet. For many months, I thought I would prefer the Amber Musk; however, after inhaling the Cedar Violet, I fell in love with its woody, floral scent.

To start this year off, the luxury highlight of the month is from Jo Malone London. I fell in love with their Peony & Blush Suede candles in the spring of 2021. Though the scent is floral, it is such a beautiful and timeless fragrance that penetrates the air and creates the perfect ambiance. Fun fact, I switched favorite flowers in 2022. All of my life, I have been a fan of white roses. This past year, I fell in love with Peonies. Possibly from my love of this charming scent.
In December of 2022, I purchased more candles for the New Year, of course, but also the Jo Malone London Peony & Blush Suede cologne. The scent is finely tuned with the candles and allows for the perfect combination when hosting guests. The fragrance is sweet and elegant. I am a fan of creating memories through taste, scent, and sound so having visitors over while burning these candles and wearing the cologne is truly a luxurious duo for the memories to be made in 2023.
