Born in Dunn, North Carolina, and raised in Coats, North Carolina, Dominique Leshay Alston is a 31-year-old actress, businesswoman, and writer. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied Communications with a focus on Performance Art as well as minoring in African and African-American Diasporic Studies.

This year she has been in a play entitled, “Faith N’ Love” playing Olivia Ranson, a movie called, “Born 2 Hustle” playing Ajah, two beauty campaigns for Lyda Beauty, as well as writing and creating her own children’s show, “Miss Butter Bean’s Library” shot with Dame Dash Studios and directed by Raquel M. Horn.

Dominique has been in the entertainment industry since she was a child. Beginning as a student at Barbizon of Raleigh, Dominique competed in the IMTA (International Modeling & Talent Association) competition. At the IMTA competition, Dominique won Child Actress of the Year, Child Model of the Year, Child Dancer of the Year, and Child Singer of the Year. This led her to sign with Discover Management and Osbrink agency landing her roles with Mattel, American Girl, Disney, Oprah Magazine, and many other famed brands.

As an adult, she has broadened her horizon in entertainment. Some of her favorite jobs have been working as an Executive Producer of Tboz Unplugged and Friends where she also hosted the show. She has been on the production teams for Coach, Honda, and Macy’s. Another memorable job was working with Cara Delevingne on her “Do You” series for Teen Vogue and Puma. Dominique has shown her face in the background and as the leading lady in many music videos of artists such as Brent Faiyaz, Hit-Boy, and more.

Notably, Dominique spent over 20 years in the pageant industry, winning prestigious titles, Junior Miss North Carolina 2004 and Teen Miss North Carolina 2009. In her later years as a competitor, Dominique competed as Miss Greater Carolina in 2012 and Miss Garner in 2013 at the Miss North Carolina Scholarship pageant. As a pageant coach, Dominique prides herself on having a 100% winning streak among her coached students.

In business and philanthropy, Dominique became a certified Life and Mindfulness coach. She founded her organization, “Ihunaanya” in May of 2016 and hosted over 50 events of camping, backpacking, hiking, and adventure across the United States. Now she uses her expertise and helps individuals with her Ihunaanya Life Course coaching program.

From 2022 to 2023, Dominique was the COO and portfolio manager of Miezeer Technology where she oversaw the investments, created financial forecasts, measured performance, and mitigated risk. She helped to create the organization of Miezeer Technology Press &Media, Social Media, Images, and Podcasts as well as Betting Horse Production Company; how they sync together and operate.

Recently, Dominique was honored to speak on the Film, TV, Distribution, and Finance panel for 2023 Raw and Uncut The Experience BET Awards Weekend X Raw Nation. She continues to grow her businesses, expertise, and legacy in Los Angeles, California.
