In 2025, I chose to rise.

This book became one of my favorites because it transformed how I navigate relationships, boundaries, and emotional expectations. I applied it in my personal life by softening into acceptance, not anxiety; and in my professional life by allowing situations and dynamics to unfold without gripping them too tightly.
It was liberating. And it made me more grounded, peaceful, and emotionally intelligent.
2. Thinking in Systems — Donella H. Meadows
Donella Meadows was one of the world’s most influential environmental scientists, but her genius lies in making systems thinking beautifully accessible.
This book became a blueprint for the disciplined structure I created for myself this year—setting out my clothes every Sunday, waking up at 4:00 AM, hitting the gym by 5:00, protecting my 7:30 PM bedtime, and using my time with intentional precision.
Meadows teaches that systems—whether ecological, organizational, or personal—behave according to their design. To change your life, you must change the structure, not the wish.
This book helped me design a life that supports abundance, not chaos.
3. The Power of Habit — Charles Duhigg
Duhigg, a Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist, explores why habits form and how they can be reshaped. He explains the habit loop—cue, routine, reward—with clarity that makes behavior change feel attainable.
This book sharpened the discipline I carried throughout the year and deepened my understanding of how small, deliberate shifts compound into meaningful transformation.
4. Daring Greatly — Brené Brown
Brené Brown’s work on vulnerability, courage, and shame is globally respected for a reason. In Daring Greatly, she challenges us to step into the arena, imperfect yet brave.
For me, this book was a reminder that openness is strength, softness is courage, and authenticity is the foundation of meaningful connection.

Melinda Gates blends data and personal narrative to illuminate how empowering women transforms families, communities, and economies.
Her work sharpened my understanding of service, responsibility, and impact—core values I hold as a woman, leader, and creator. Warning: tear-jerker!
6. Persuasion Mastery: How to Get Anything You Want
This book explores the psychology of influence—how communication shapes outcomes and how confidence shapes communication.
It enhanced my ability to lead, negotiate, and articulate my value with clarity.
7. What They Don’t Teach You at Harvard Business School — Mark McCormack
McCormack, one of the pioneers of modern sports marketing, shares lessons rooted in street-smart strategy, intuition, and human behavior.
His approach to business reminded me that success is often less about credentials and more about awareness, adaptability, and relationship intelligence. I read this after I started playing tennis. Absolute divine timing.
