Good Friday is the commemoration of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and Easter is to remember the resurrection.
Have you ever felt crucified? Have you ever needed to be reborn?
I have. A few times. Not necessarily crucified but definitely bullied, tormented, chastised, belittled, and troubled. Life is full of ups and downs, and we all face challenges and obstacles at some point in our lives. These obstacles can take many forms, such as a difficult job, a strained relationship, or a health issue. However, it is how we face these obstacles and come out on the other side that defines us.
Going through a tough time can be incredibly challenging and can make us feel like we are stuck in a never-ending cycle of despair. It can be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it is important to remember that with time and effort, things can and will get better.
The first step in overcoming obstacles is to acknowledge and accept that they exist. It is okay to feel frustrated, sad, or angry, and it is important to give yourself time to process these emotions. However, it is also important to remember that these feelings are temporary and that you have the power to change your situation.
Once you have acknowledged the obstacles, it is time to start taking action. This can be as simple as setting small goals or taking steps towards a larger goal. It can be helpful to break down your goals into manageable tasks and focus on one thing at a time. By taking small steps towards your goals, you can build momentum and gain confidence.
Regaining confidence is an essential part of overcoming obstacles. When we face challenges, our self-esteem can take a hit, and we may start to doubt our abilities. However, it is important to remember that our past successes are a reflection of our abilities, and that we have the power to overcome any obstacle. This is how you can be “reborn.” Once you notice what has held you down or held you back, also be self-aware enough to know who you are while it is happening.
A good tip is to write down description words about who you are when you are going through it. Then write down who you want to be and the type of person that doesn’t have the same problems. What are they like? How do they think about issues? How do they find solutions? Then allow who you are to “pass on” so that you can birth the new and improved you. The “you” that is stronger, smarter, more educated, happier, solution-based, emotionally intelligence, gentle, patient, and whatever you need “you” to be. Building confidence can be achieved through positive self-talk, surrounding yourself with supportive people, and focusing on your strengths. It is important to remember that you are capable of great things and that you have overcome challenges in the past.
To close, going through tough times can be incredibly challenging, but it is important to remember that obstacles are a part of life. By acknowledging and accepting our challenges, taking action, and regaining confidence, we can overcome any obstacle and come out stronger on the other side. Remember, with perseverance and determination, anything is possible.
